Men's Body Myths
12.11.2011

The following list makes up the most common myths men have about their bodies, and how they should be training.
- No weight is too heavy
- Having a spotter is good for lifting (far too) heavy weights
- The louder you grunt when lifting weights the harder you are working
- You should train through pain or injuries
- You don't need to warm-up before your training
- Just train one part of your body, the part that shows off your physique best
- You need to use an ab belt to provide support for your body when lifting really heavy weights
- Protein shakes (alone) will increase your muscle size
- Creatine supplements are necessary if you are taking your training seriously
- The 'cut and paste' approach to fitness works. This refers to cutting out a fitness program from Men's Health magazine and following it religiously
- You don't need to look after your body, you can get off with being 'well-rounded'
- Winning is more important than the taking part
- Yoga and pilates are too easy options
- Stretching is just for women
Which of these points do you believe?
Guess what, they are all misguided
